BOGO Book Fair!
It's a BOGO book fair!
Our BOGO book fair is right on time for summer break. The next book fair will be June 1st-June 5th.
This time around, the PTA will pay for EACH student to get a FREE book valued at $13 or less. AND!! This is a BOGO event, so students can get two books with this offer. This offer applies to ALL items at the book fair.
Classes will come during scheduled time throughout the week. The book fair will be open for families on Friday, June 5 from 9-11:30am. (Yes, we know school will be out, but the school will still be open.) We will be in the newly redecorated Wellness Room.

Yearly Book Fair updates
So... How did we do?
- $317.78 in Share the Fair funds were donated
- Redeemed $5,107.15 to purchase books for our teachers, staff and students
- Sold over 1,800 books at the book fairs
- Top book category were picture books
- Top books sold were Diary of a Wimpy Kid #20, Dog Man Big Jim Believes and Searching for Home
Promoting the love of literacy
Through your purchases, we were able to donate $5,000 Scholastic Dollars to Mrs. Ogas to purchase new books for the school library. VanderMolen PTA provided an additional $2,600 to Mrs. Ogas to purchase book repair supplies to keep well-read books in circulation.
Scholastic Dollars were also donated to:
- Ms. Denise (our school counselor) to purchase SEL books for the redecorated Wellness Room
- Mr. Justin (ELOP director) for his afterschool students
- $15 per All-Star student to purchase books at each book fair
- Literacy Night to purchase new books for the opportunity drawings

Thank you to all the students, families and staff for allowing the PTA to host book fairs throughout the year and for participating, purchasing and promoting the love of literacy.
Thank you to Mrs. Ogas for allowing us to use her library and Ms. Destini for allowing us to use the wellness room. Thank you to the parent volunteers that helped throughout the year and who helped the students find books they'd love to read. Thank you to our amazing Admins, Mrs. Snow and Mrs. Miramontes, for always being so supportive of the PTA and putting the students first and foremost.
